Campervan Hire Cornwall, South West United Kingdom

By Peter Lennon

Cornwall makes a popular destination for local and overseas holiday-makers. One reason is their wonderful beaches and exciting coastline, full of marine life and wild swells. Another is the diversity of things to do. Whatever brings you to this county, choose campervan hire Cornwall and get around with ease.

In fact, some firms carry only these refurbished campervans. They are decades old, some more than others. Though still bad for fuel mileage, they are suitably narrow for equally narrow English roads. Pack as many as four adults and one child into some using the pop-up top.

A pop-up top allows two adults to sleep above their resting progeny or two other adults below. Two hot plates let you heat the kettle or cook sausages and beans for tea. Use the cool box for storing milk and the fudge you buy when visiting St. Ives.

There are also modern makes. They get give better fuel mileage and look a lot more contemporary, if that matters to you. Along with a sleeker finish, they contain some of the latest in entertainment and navigation technology, not to mention privacy windows, curtains, even swivel chairs.

For example, should one of your party refuse to stop and get directions, the other can turn on satellite navigation. Meanwhile, as children grow anxious, all they need to do is switch on the DVD player. Or, in some vehicles, they could resort to Playstation. If nothing else, this will encourage the driver to find his destination quickly so he can defend his high score.

Cornwall scores high among desirable family vacation locations, from St. Ives to Dartmoor. Go fishing, swimming in the cold sea, explore a mining museum or admire serpentine carvings. Scale steep paths down to secluded beaches and watch for adders. A campervan makes it so easy to change location spontaneously and quickly, with the minimum of packing-up to get ready.
