The spas Brisbane isn't really that famous for but should be... come on! Has your hurricane deanimated? Are you scabbing off edema and stroking a bruised upper arm from heaving a fraying suitcase around the planet? Drop the facade that you're not fascinated by the possibility of being sauted and kneeded while you're barging through 'The Texas of Australia' (AkA Queenland).
So you're here to have a filthy, scout's honour trip - I understand - but you can also respect your body while doing it. What's the go you're flat out of ideas for your time here, anyway? Don't worry - or do, a massage will be ready for those stressed out knots.
These 'health spas' often make a great present for the loved females in your life (or the sensitive males in your life) but you know how it goes - the present you give to a person you love is a present from the heart of God (I'm not sure who says that, it might be me, but nothing is unique in these times so it's likely I stole it even from you!)
Relaxation retreats are the very pith of lavishness, and Brisbane has a good sort of them, some closer to the CBD, some a little farther away. Without sounding snobby, you tend to find Health Centres and Relaxation Clinics in the prettier suburbs here, so it's a good atmosphere for seeing some decent regions, and to be perfectly frank, I really think Brisbane is just a top place to live. OK, jingoism over.
Really what it's determined by is how do you want to play this? Do you want a swedish massage, a full madbath - do you have any special requirements? These are all crucial things to prepare but if you've ever been to a Health Spa before you know that it's like going to an All-you-can-eat, except unlike an all-you-can-eat, the more you consume, the less gross you feel!
Speaking of eating, if you haven't been to a Health clinic lately, you're in for a feast - literally, since a lot of them serve bites to eat. Top that off with some slices of cucumber on your eyes, and you're set.
Some services are friendly to spontaneous bookers, and you're recommended to go in and have a peruse at the place if you want to get a stronger impression of just where you're meant to be treated. Don't feel like you have put on your Monica Bing hat for this one, though - the whole point is that you turn off, and as a bold-faced pioneer from unchartered regions of the globe, you're demanded to do so.
The Beauty Spas in Brisbane are all just as ambient and sensual and no matter where you stay, there's sure to be information at your place of stay about the places they think are the best - there might even be some deals you can pick up, too. Some of these hotels have Day Spas within them, but either way, don't worry - just relax.
Got your itinerary handy? I would recommend just doing this, just once, at the very end of your trip. Gives you something to look forward. See you there, compadr.
