The quality of the video and photos was much better than expected...we ended up leaving the DSLR in our room most of the trip. We use this camera for our vacations. If you want a great camera that captures action, this is not the camera for you. I hate to see what it looks like when taking underwater photos, especially when shooting objects in motion. I have taken roughly 2000 pictures and despite sending it to an Olympus rep and reading the manual cover to cover (which I rarely ever do) I still cannot get this camera to focus properly. I actually had to buy a cheap Polaroid digital camera in Rome to salvage some pictures during a recent trip. I bought a Cannon s95.
We carry all the time for great memories. Amazing product as I dropped it in pool and forgot about it, found it after 30 minutes and this camera was working as normal as it was before!
The camera takes mediocre pictures. The day date has to be set every time the battery is changed. Select the option that allows you to talk to a person! The tech support number [hard to find on the website] is 888-553-4448. I will be returning it. If you're looking for a camera to wear while you're floating the river or swimming in a pool/lake/ocean then this is it. I want to throw it in my purse and not be concerned. It does this job and far beyond, thankfully.
Videos on the other hand are pretty horrible compared my other point shoot Cannon SD780 IS. The videos are maybe acceptable to You Tube but certainly not for a larger screen.
Now if I was only using it for video it would give it 5 stars. But we take pictures with it as well, right" Good thing I also brought a higher quality Olympus digital camera with me which produced 100% crystal clear pictures. Buy this and use this for when you are IN the pool where this can get wet, but don't use it as a day to day camera.....you'll get better picture quality elsewhere. Phone is now dead as disco and the return labels have already been printed. That's too bad too, because I was very happy with the quality of the pictures and really liked the thought of shooting pictures under water.
The camera worked fine, but after it ran out of batteries and I charged it a few days ago, the camera stopped working. All it will do is attempt to turn on (the screen flashes "Olympus") but then the screen goes dark and appears on, but completely black, no menu, no image, nothing.
All of my photos taken with the 6020 are perfect, unless I do something wrong. Read the directions and anyone who buys this great little camera will love it and have great success with sharp, clean, well colored photos!

Sincerely, I love it...got it and the next day took it white water rafting, it was dropped, hit, smashed, dunked...and nothing stopped it from working, taking great pictures and videos and still looking brand new. cross cut shredder reviews.
