Visiting cities is an exciting time, especially when you go somewhere such as Liverpool where there is so much to see and do. Not only will you find the Beatles museum, see the famous Liver Birds and explore life over the centuries in the Maritime Museum there is so much more to do here. So here are some of the Liverpool Calendar events to look out for.

If you love live music and are into the more rock orientated side of music you must go to the Mathew Street Festival. Here you will see world musicians and witness more than sixty hours of music. This is a fun time in the city and as many of the bands are outside people of all ages can attend.

See more live acts, enjoy talks and conferences and watch videos at Liverpool Sound City. Here you will find real lovers of music and learn more about bands and playing instruments. You might also get the chance to see acts that make it big in the coming years.

Southport Air Show - witness amazing air displays at the air show that is held every year and is now 21 years old. This is a great family event that everyone loves. Check it out if you are in the area at the time and you will not be disappointed.

John Smith's Grand National - this is one of the main sporting events of the year and thousands flock to see this well known race. If you want to attend you will need to secure tickets early. If you are interested in horse racing you will know about the Grand National.

If you are over 18 and into dance music Creamfields is for you. Thousands of music fans attend and the atmosphere is like on huge party. Just make sure that you will have time to recover from the all day and all night dancing afterwards.
