Georgia... Now Ya Know

Have you been spending some time leaning back in your chair at your desk daydreaming the day away during hours when you should be productive? What is it that's bothering you? Is it that you need to... perhaps, get away? Pack it up and hit the road? Well, perhaps the United States state of Georgia is the place you visit when you're next considering a vacation. Georgia has a wide variety of attractions. Places to visit, and have some fun.

You could take a tour of a swamp by dropping by Okefenokee Swamp Park! Or you could go for a free wine tasting and perhaps nibble some cheese at Meinhardt Vineyards & Winery.

If the US state of Georgia were a country by itself, it would be the 28th largest economy in the entire world. (Woah.)

Georgia lacks not for a variety and mixture of flora and fauna. There are many assorted tree species. Notably among the state of Georgia's native trees are: white hickories, oaks, sweetgum and even red cedar. Yellow jasmine and mountain laurel are just two of the flowering shrubs found in Georgia.

As far as fauna is concerned, there are white-tailed deer in almost every county in the the state. The freshwater fish are catfish, bream, and trout. are mockingbirds and 160 other bird species.

In the year of 2007 Georgia's total gross state product was 396 billion US dollars. the state of Georgia produces agriculturally pecans, cattle, dairy products, tobacco, and vegetables. These are accompanied with the industrial outputs of , cigarette and many other types of goods.

Atlanta (the state's capital) is a leading center of transportation, communications, tourism, and industry. It's economy is further enhanced by the fact that it is located along major transportation routes. The State of Georgia as an entity employs approximately 150,000 people in .

In Georgia there is a scholarship funded by the lottery. This is the "HOPE Scholarship". It is available to the residents of the state of Georgia who have graduated from high school with a at least a 3.0 g.p.a. and who attend a public university in the state. The HOPE scholarship is able to provide the cost of tuition and provides a stipend for books.
