We place the light near the stairs going up to the second flooring porch. The instruction sheet mentions the light is for outdoor usage, and the light and battery compartment appear to be sealed, or at best protected, for outdoors use. Rather I used it on the side corner of the front home. Works as described, For the cost it cannot be beat. It goes on when you are getting within about ten feet from the light and lights up the region pretty well. Motion dectectors are fairly accurate and you are able to modify the sensitivity and the duration of how long the light stays on after it detects the movement.
This backyard lighting is simple to set up and am glad I purchased it. I got myself two different battery powered motion sensor LED lights - simply to determine which one I needed several of - The Fulcrum Porch Light is the winner.
I've had it for some months and hope the batteries can last at least a year. However, it will provide a lot more than adequate light to find your keys and unlock a door. She's able to see her clothes and not have to fumble about looking for the lighting chain now. I noticed this product on the Today Show the day I purchased it and ran to the PC to find it. Two times as large, and looks odd from the lot. I'm able to think about at least two areas where I'm able to install others. I'm really here purchasing more to put on my extremely dark, outdoors stone steps.
A chance to walk in - and out without needing to flip a switch - you know, when you are carrying 3 plates of raw/cooked meat - to get dinner ready in the center of December.
There are no choices for setting amount of light on this solar lamp post. It was simple to set up and run. It worked good from the get-go. I got it for my attic stairs, to take after I go up there.
I guess that I could live with that if I hadn't been told in writing it would not happen due to the built-in daylight off perform! This little light works good. Ok, now about the cost.
I nearly threw in the towel looking until I thought of trying Amazon for the merchandise.
Attached this unit over side door of home. I found it least expensive right here on amazon.com. Outstanding sensitivity to motion. I installed this light on my front porch about fourteen days ago. Based on our companions, the lights have worked with no hitch.

The solar lamp post is fragile and will die if you drop them even once. From the "Price-Performance" standpoint, these solar lamp posts are at the top of the stack!
