The security bollard light is easy to set up, and worked just like you could anticipate with only three batteries. Due to what the light on the Dorcy web site said about output, I made a decision to buy these walkway lights. Motion sensor is effective (much better than I was expecting), the one LED throws mad light, simple to set up, just about everything I hoped for. The movement sensors aren't too sensitive that you will get false sensing. And it also stays lit long enough for all of us to do what ever we need like unlocking the doorway, grabbing an item stored in the garage or throwing something within our trash can. It's a lesser model then descibed. Worth the low cost.
I searched all over the place to be sure I'd not dropped it somewhere.
Hope my two cents helps somebody out. It lasted through major thunder and lighting, and 70 mile per hour winds totally hooked on the back part of our fense post. Go slowly and all will be good. I simply set up six of these Hadco lighting flood lights inside and outside of the house. It takes nothing more than two D batteries and a screwdriver/drill to put up also it provides lots of light. These were easy to set up and we received them in just a couple of days after ordering. The batteries tested good but I can't get it to turn on.
Even with the lights in my room and the only light in the room being the part of sunlight coming through the curtains, it's not going to activate (I have it in the closet above the door, so it's not facing any direct light). I'd totally recommend this light. I'm glad I did buy this bollard lighting unit. Just placed on a ledge in the spare room and wait for some movement.
We required a light that will work on a motion sensor and light up enough of our garage so we could open up the doorway with ease or grab something or whatever without the need for a flashlight.
Would purchase again.
But it only lit up a little dim area, enough to determine where you are going but not enough to find some thing small if you happened to dropped and you would need to search for it. I'd not totally tightened the 2 halves of the unit so the impact of hitting the driveway cracked the housing, broke a little piece off totally and scattered the 2 sections apart. I hung up today, which was super easy to do, and tested it many times.
My only grievance is it was a bit difficult to get the batteries and the connections to mesh just right so that it worked following assembly. I'd recomment this for someone looking for movement sensor lights and not searching for high lighting as this provides a decent lighting. I'll say that the movement sensor in them is very sensitive. I'd have liked an on/off switch. We now have no wiring by the door so we needed something that would stand alone.

About the Author:
I used these sidewalk lighting units at the front door and the range seems very good no matter how I approach the doorway from. The Hunza lighting unit is actually bright and throws a cone 25 feet wide at a distance of 20 feet.
