For A Change Of Pace Look Into A Hill Country Bed And Breakfast

By Amparo Bird

There is a lot to be said for staying in a Hill Country bed and breakfast rather than a larger motel or hotel. This type of lodging can be very relaxing and is more like staying in a home away from home, except you do not have to cook or clean up.

Most bed and breakfast facilities are quite small offering between three and 10 rooms. This gives it a family feel. Generally the morning meal is included in the accommodations cost and everyone eats around the same time or within a couple hours time. Some of these places all have an afternoon tea time or snack time. And, usually the owners live on site, sometimes in a different house.

People usually open or buy this type of lodging because they do like meeting new people and making new friends. They have time to chat, and can recommend recreational activities and sight-seeing close by. And, the staff will happily recommend restaurants and can make dinner reservations for you.

However, if you are looking for privacy, they will, of course, indulge you and allow you your freedom. In fact, some have especially private accommodations and/or honeymoon suites occasionally even with private decks and Jacuzzis.

Occasionally you may find that some of these types of lodgings can be a bit pricey. But, for the most part they are pretty affordable, even if you take the kids. Many rooms have more than one bed, or often there are adjoining rooms. Some may restrict to adults only, but many allow children. Some even allow pets, for those who do not like to leave their furry family member at home.

For a weekend get-a-way or longer, a Hill Country bed and breakfast may be just the right fit. It is a great way to unwind and relax. Allow yourself to be pampered once in a while. Read more about: hill country bed and breakfast
