6 strategies for a fun filled Road Trip

By Mitchell Scott

Road trips certainly are a simple way to travel and see plenty.Yes, they are often long and sometimes boring but nonetheless they can be a lot of fun along with a great chance to explore and connect with the fellow road trippers. Before you embark upon the road trip ensure that you have all you will need on your trip. You will need to manufacture a packing list for your trip take along enough supplies to last the entire trip.Without further ado, listed here are my 6 suggestions fora great road trip experience.

Bring a friend! Driving by yourself could get quite boring quite quickly. Bring some other person along to talk to, sing with, and help with all the driving. It helps if it's somebody you get along with as you'll be stuck within a vehicle with them for a long time. However, a road trip just may be the perfect chance to connect with someone you do not know too well or have had complications with previously.

Bring the noise You'll be in the car and on the road for a long time. While driving it is really not recommended that you read a book or watch your favourite t.v. show (not sure why). Therefore you should bring with you something to pass the time. A perfect choice is music.

Should your car have an aux port then it's possible to plug your ipod (or other musical device with an aux port) directly into your automobile and listen to your music like that. In case not, there are many other devices which let you broadcast over your car radio. Make sure that one of these devices makes it onto your packing list. You'll also be able to pick up local radio stations which can be entertaining (or the worst experience your ears have had in quite some time)

I love to play some nice upbeat music which I can sing to. Podcasts also work great as they keep you thinking (and awake).

Make some plans but be flexible The very last thing you need on your road trip is a tight schedule that involves driving for hours at a stretch together with the only breaks being to get gas, red bull, and doritos. Ensure you have sufficient time to stop and take a look at cool things along the route or follow signs to interesting detours.

Cruise Control isn't necessarily your friend Sure it's nice to set it, place your feet up and enjoy the drive but cruise control is not really all its cracked up to be. I found that while cruising I got bored/tired quicker which resulted in more efforts to wake myself up. You are able to only do the head out the window, self face slap, and 5 second blink so frequently before they stop working.

However, it's nice put it on and give your feet a stretch once in a while.

Free Wifi If you have to access the internet for work or if you just want to update your Facebook with many of the sweet road trip pics you will need to look for access to the internet. If your road trip is in North America then free wifi is just about everywhere. Every Mcdonalds and Starbucks I've been to has free wifi that you can tap in to merely by sitting outside in the car and booting up your computer. Lots of hotels/motels include free internet access (sometimes you need a code but sometimes it is possible to just park there and obtain access to their signal)

Master the powernap If the roadtrip is long and your time is short then you will need to be sure you can take advantage of the time you will have to sleep. In case your one of those people who can fall asleep anywhere then great. If your not, you might want to practice. You can also exhaust yourself to the point where it's easy to nod off.

So these are my 6 tips for road trip awesomeness.I really hope they've helped you . Remember to be sure you are ready for the trip before you start.Make a packing list and get everything ready beforehand. This will ensure a smooth, fun, and pleasant trip.
