Gun owners everywhere have some pretty strong preferences when their personal weapon lockers are concerned. Someone may prefer .45 caliber handguns to 9mm, and they will contest their choice until they are cold in the ground. I'm sure that's why so many amazing gun shirts have come out supporting different types of firearms. The most available? Why, the AK-47 and the AR-15 shirts, of course.
While there are plenty of these types of arguments going around, one of the more intense discussions centers on whether a gun owner should have an AR-15 or an AK-47. Both are amazingly designed weapons, but for some...only one can stand on top of the hill and be king. This dedication to one or the other is why we see so many new gun shirts featuring one or the other.
The AK-47 has endured the ages because of its magnificent design. It is made from almost all steel, which makes it almost impossible to corrupt with dust, sand, or mud. The drawback to that design is the fact that it weighs significantly more than the AR-15, which is constructed mainly from aluminum. The AK also suffers from poor iron sights and difficult customization points. The weapon has its supporters though, and you can see them wearing their AK-47 gun tees with pride.
While being awesomely accurate, the AR-15 has none of that design durability that the AK-47 touts. An AR-15 will jam up if you look at it funny, which makes it a real pain for people not extremely diligent at daily cleaning. The guys wearing their AR-15 gun tee shirts would rather point out the accuracy, the great customization qualities, and light weight.
All of this back-and-forth between the AK-47 and the AR-15 is pretty pointless, honestly. The majority of the gun t-shirts I own are all about Second Amendment rights and the promotion of our liberties as Americans. If you're a gun owner, and you're feeling a bit contentious...go debate a liberal. Who knows? Your stubbornness may actually win someone over to our side.
