Using The Right Accessories To Play Up The Style, Personality And Class Of Your Formal Wear

By Ilechukwu Magnus

Whenever you are invited to a formal event, take a good look at your invitation letter. Did you see anything like black tie? If so, you are going to need a tuxedo and a black tie. However, if the event isn't specific on the attire, only that it must be formal, you will need to wear a black or dark blue tailored suit.

It is true that you may have a hard time pulling off an attire that can complement this kind of event but there are still some room for the addition of accessories that will help highlight your style, tastes and personality. However, your accessory choices should be the right ones in order to correctly capture the room's attention. I guess you don't want to look like a new employee that is just attending his first formal party.

The Right Accessories To Wear With Your Formal Attire

The ties- The right tie can go a long way in making you look smart but making wrong choice will make you a bad egg. You must be subtle when adding style and class to your wardrobe. When making your choices, don't forget to choose from a muted blue, silver or solid tie. You can then add the finishing touch to the outfit by adding spare stripe or subtle pattern.

Your belt- With any suit, a basic leather belt is a must. Don't bring out that belt you use on daily basis. This belt will tell the gathering that it came from the long-used section of your wardrobe. By investing in a quality leather belt, you can still use it whenever you have a special occasion to attend.

Handkerchief- Handkerchief is a nice way to add the appropriate colour to your wardrobe. But hey, you should just inject any colour without considering the occasion. If you want some help, then go for a gray, dark blue or white handkerchief and don't fold it too much.

The cufflinks- Many people have found that it is necessary they use cufflinks that they are really bold with. Using the appropriate custom cufflink designs will provide you with that splash of panache. You can add that unique taste of style by wearing custom cufflinks. Using cufflinks will not only draw the attention of the crowd to you when you enter the event party but will also make you stand out from the crowd.

Your tie clip- While most of the modern men don't border wearing a tie clip, that doesn't mean that they are not important. Using your tie clip to a formal event will hold your tie in place despite the body movement you are making and especially those times you drink and eat.

Using the right accessories will give you the confidence you deserve in your formal attire. You can play up your formal attire by using the right engraveable cufflinks, tie clip, tie and handkerchief.
