Bad SEO Companies: How To Avoid These Unreliable Workers

By Alicia Moore

It's not unusual to find big brands getting penalised by Google because of engagement in black hat SEO. One incident, the JCPenney.com controversy, raised growing alarms for the widespread fondness for the dark art of black hat SEO. Another alarming note here is that JCPenney.com depended on the services of a notorious SEO company.

The desire of many companies to own Google's top spot may mean several dangers. Sometimes, this overwhelming desire can be out of control especially when they choose to collaborate with just anyone who pretends to know SEO. Because the Internet is a breeding ground of spammers and scammers, this mindset cannot be tolerated. When searching for an SEO provider, let utmost caution and pragmatic thinking inspire you. You cannot just accept any offer without getting to know your SEO partner!

What do you lose when you are committing this mistake? Everything. You're not only endangering your online reputation, you're also literally giving away money that these companies clearly do not deserve!

In this instance, the clich prevention is better than cure is apt. When looking for a service provider, take your time. Outline your desired results and goals and evaluate if your applicant has the competencies to deliver all these to you.

Here are two statements that immediately tell you that an SEO company is flagrant and unfit for work.

They claim to be connected to Google. This statement is used by SEO spammers to get customers to believe in their strategy. Unfortunately, these business entities do not have any strategy other than black hat and they certainly don't have this mysterious relationship with Google.

They know secret schemes that work fast. Anything that holds the word secret and fast must make you more inquisitive. Just so you know, all strategies have been openly shared by Google, and therefore there's no reason for any technique to be considered a secret.
