Your Call To Action Button is Your Tireless Workhorse

By Vicki Rezai

We know very well the frustrations of running a web business and doing all the things so people would just click on that order link and send you money. The call to action is all-important in copywriting whether you know anything about it or not. You can make your marketing and copy more effective by learning the following about the call to action.

You do need the call to action because advertisers discovered a long time ago that people need to be told what to do, next. Earlier in the copy the reader has to know what is in it for him or her, and that is basic copywriting for you. We tend to feel many people who lack experience think they know what needs to be written, but that is really not true at all because there is a science behind effective copywriting.

All you need to do is take a look at the better sales pages at places like Clickbank, and you can easily model them with your action statement. You can add a small line about your guarantee right below the button or have it separately displayed above it. What you decide for the action taking copy really should be based on who is in your audience.

The guarantee is something totally different from the call to action, and they should not be combined though.

It is not necessary to spend inordinate amounts of time on this only because they are relatively easy to make if you can make graphics. The most important thing is appealing to the emotions of your readers because after all that is what actually produces any sales. So be sure to use what you learn, always, and that means taking positive action on your knowledge.
