Recruitment In Manchester

Working In Manchester City Centre

Working in Manchester city centre can be incredibly exciting and challenging at the same time. Although Manchester is not too far away from London (a train can have you there in just a couple of hours)it is completely different. The city has a population of around three million yet there seems to be more of a community feeling than in some other large UK cities.

The idea of working in a busy place such as London is often enticing to lots of people but somehow Manchester seems a lot less daunting. Manchester also has the largest student population outside of London. This makes it seem much more friendly and attractive to younger people.

Finding a place to live in Manchester is fairly easy. There are copious amounts of flats and apartments in the city centre and in Salford. There are also a lot of house shares and lots of hotels for when you have visitors.

Like lots of major cities Manchester is made up of many different areas, some areas are much nicer than others. The least attractive areas are Moss Side and Hulme. These areas are close to the student village, so accommodation tends to be cheaper. When you add up what you'd spend getting in and out of the city to work it might work out that you wouldn't save any money by living in areas like this.

If you wish to venture further out of the city centre then the south of the city is possibly the best area to choose. Areas such as Didsbury are popular upmarket choices for those wishing to commute. There are brilliant transport links into the city centre from Didsbury.

Dining out in Manchester is a big treat. Whether it is a bargain fish and chips you want or a more upscale meal you won't be disappointed.

Manchester is also one of the least expensive cities to live in in the UK. There are lots of opportunities to be had in Manchester and if you are thinking of moving there you may wish to register with a good recruitment agency.
