Collect information through the Internet and prepare maps, guidebooks and weather channels too. Be a detailed oriented person and write everything in your notes. Besides, most problems are oftentimes due to getting lost.

Use the appropriate tools and materials. Assemble and prepare every tool and material before you begin. In this way, you can surely conserve some time. Emergency kits and even contact materials are usually needed too. Prior to packing things and stuffs, make a list of everything. Obtain enough fluids and foods which will help you energize and strong for a long time.

Be prepared for the future challenges you will eventually encounter. When you are not ready for anything, be certain that other capable individuals handle the task. Dont make anyone to become separate from the group. Remember, if you are assigned as a leader, its your main responsibility to protect your members against anything. Create the perfect plans and preparations which may help you someday.

Provisions are really needed to fill in your stomachs whenever hunger comes. Before a hike starts, prepare enough food and drink lots of water too. Bring healthy dishes and foods too. As much as possible, dont bring nor drink a booze. When you get intoxicated, your decision making would utterly change and perhaps making correct actions would least likely to take place in the long run.

Monitor the weather. One of the biggest nightmare of most rescuers is when they overlooked the weather. We all know that a climate varies from time to time. By now, it could be sunny. Later, it might be rainy and windy. Be knowledgeable and surely things will end well as exactly as you had planned it.

Finally, be calm and stay on guard. Regardless of whatever happens, be calm. Dont get easily so distracted or get panic. Even if you are prepared enough, calmness will make you overcome any situation. Be in control and keep calm and surely nothing bad will happen.
