More On Whale Watching Channel Islands

Whales are the largest mammals to exist in the current generation and its a known fact that they live in the waters. Despite the vast expanses of water that are in existence many scientists have not even discovered a tenth of what lays in its depths. In many occasions only the huge animals gets noticed that is why they are unique in their status. This activity in itself is the practice of observing whales and dolphins in their natural habitats the Whale watching Channel Islands may be scientific or recreational in nature.

Off shore sites at the Santa Barbara makes this channel island a watchers paradise. This is because they have the privilege of having to watch the humpback whale from close proximity of their migratory route and also the privilege of seeing for themselves first-hand the behavior of these mammals in its natural habitat. The Barbara stretch offers a nostalgic view that most watcher would dream of.

Some call it the orca, some call it the killer whale while one thing in common between the two names is its constant beauty the killer one as its known is black in colour and has some white patches that makes it look like a harmless fish. But one unbecoming fact about the them is their stealthy killing nature; it is known to hunt in packs and is so confident that it at times hunts at the shore line taking off its prey on land. All this action can at times be witnessed at the Anacapa channel Island

Just as the name states, Santa Cruz there exist a huge cruiser in its waters. The blue whale cruises in the waters of Santa Cruz and is among the main attractions for the tourists to this site as it rarely goes unnoticed due to its massive size, in many occasions it blows a huge fountain of water whenever it comes up for air, it also gracefully swims at the waters and can hardly be ignored.

The Channel Islands national park is also part of the beautiful scenery that whales like to frequent. Apart from the common hump back and blue whale and the orca there are other frequent visitors that only pass by at the channel Island national park, that is the gray whale. They frequent this site because it has deep vast pristine waters which they need in order to hunt and move freely due to their massive sizes and very fast nature.

Since time in memorial there has always existed these channels but long ago they were not really viewed as channels but they were viewed as points where one could hunt down the whales for food, this notion slowly changed as time progressed and slowly but surely the people started embracing the culture of this activity which eventually turned out become an economic activity in future.

Many people encamp along the migratory routes as they do not want to miss a chance to have a glimpse of these giants. On the other hand, scientists have been known to follow these sea giants to all destinations across the sea. They have also been allowed to touch and even treat the giants at the Island channel.

Watching as an act is a pleasure and constantly nostalgic in nature as it constantly changes thus a new experience constantly. Moreover, this exercise also helps in creating employment as there are lots of people who depend on this for their daily bread.
