People Who Have Jobs That Involve Travel Are More Rounded In Their Experiences

By Zelma Hurley

There are many different types of jobs. There are those requiring you to get dirty and smelly. Some jobs have you sitting at a desk, all day. Many of them have you on your feet, such as a cashier or pharmacy technician. Then there are some of the more fun jobs that involve travel. These will get you going in many different directions from time to time and actually may be an education.

Obviously, one of the jobs which can entail moving around is as a travel agent. You may think just sitting in an office and sending people all around the world is all they do. That is not the whole job and taking a trip, or two, every once in a while is appropriate. You learn about the places you send other people to and have fun while doing it.

When you work as a traveling salesmen, the trips are expressed in the name. There will be the requirement to move from city to city, state to state or across the globe. The products or services you represent will largely determine where you go and what you do, however, this, in and of itself, presents a lot of educational opportunities.

Depending on your definition of traveling, a position as a roving supervisor for a service company, such as a custodial firm or certified public accountant company could qualify. You will need to be on the road for much of the time. Moving from region to region is normal activity for a representative of these concerns.

Taking an eighteen wheeler and propelling it down the road is fun for the right person or team. Hotels every night is what a lot of people enjoy and there is a lot of them from point A to point B. This type of job is not for everyone and special licenses are required, but, as far as moving around is concerned, this is the position to have.

Other jobs you could have allowing and, in many cases, require running around in many parts of the country or overseas will include flight attendants, retail buyers, executive assistants and tour guides. All of these careers need the person to move about to either help others get to the same place or to be somewhere else to gain access to things their company needs.

Other positions will also require additional training or education, often a college degree, include traveling nurse, a consultant for various disciplines, Au pair and a geologist. Some of these occupations can be pursued only while traveling around are photographers, writers, international aid workers or English teachers.

When people think about driving for work or taking trips, they do not consider the miles some have to go just to get to the office. Many people appreciate the freedom and liberty, not to mention the fresh air they get when out running around for work. The opportunities, the sights and the learning they accomplish is just icing on the cake of a fun job.
